Using electrons to trigger chemical reactions with air particles, the Flash Streamer breaks down allergens such as pollen and fungal allergens, and removes unpleasant odours to provide better, cleaner air.

Daikin's Streamer has a larger discharge range than standard plasma discharge (or luminescent discharge), making it easier for the electrons and the oxygen and nitrogen in the air to collide. This allows high-speed electrons to be generated three-dimensionally over a wider area, resulting in an oxidative decomposition rate that is 1000 times greater with the same electrical power.
